Come on a Coles Bay / Freycinet Food & Wine Tour, Picking you up from your Coles Bay and surrounding area accommodation at 11am on a full day journey of Gastronomical Proportions.
Basking in the sunshine at 42 degrees south is one of the leading Wine Regions of the world for cool climate wine. Freycinet Coast, (also known as the East Coast Wine Region) boast more sunny days than any other part of Tasmania. This leads to wines with great natural acidity, flavour concentration, longevity, bouquet and of course taste.
We visit 4 Vineyard Cellar Doors. With more jaw dropping views and wines than bends in the road, immerse yourself in our rich history and culture. Most of the Vineyards are still owned by the original settlers that forged their way into Tasmanian history in the 1800’s. Visit Convict built cellar doors, see how the pioneers lived and learn how their descendants are making their own piece of history.
Indulge in the mouth watering Tasmanian delicacies that have made our amazing state a wine and food lovers paradise. You will get to feast on all kinds of delights like Oysters, Mussels, Fresh Fish,Wood Fired Pizza, Walnuts, Cheese, Local Bread, Salad, Seasonal Fruit, Olive Oils, Smoked Salmon . . . just to mention a few. Any dietary restrictions are handled with no fuss also.
A gourmet lunch is provided at the amazingly picturesque Devils Corner, topped off with an ice cream or coffee and chocolate at any one of a few locations depending on the day.

Giving you plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast and coffee we shall collect you from Coles Bay and surrounds at 11.00am.
Bicheno and Swansea Pick ups can be arranged also.
Only eat a light breakfast and dress warm.
First Flight of Tastings with Lunch Included
Enjoy a taste of Bubbles on arrival, take some pics then we take a seat to enjoy a fabulous “Degustation style” experience of food and wine pairings.
Devils Corner are crafting some fabulous wines and with the help of Freycinet Marine Farms “The Fishers” we enjoy an array of Oysters, Mussels, Salmon & Fresh Fish to match each of the individual wines.
3 Pinot Noirs come from this Estate also with some of the best “Wood Fired Pizza” from Tombolo Freycinet which you will get to try.
Enjoy the magic of food and wine pairing techniques with some amazing Tasmanian delicacies matched carefully with the Devils Corner wines. Pick up a few tricks to host an amazing dinner party!
With a great foundation of food in your belly we head off to the next cellar door for more Wine !!

Second Flight of Tastings
1:00pm Arrive at Spring Vale Vineyard
Set in a rustic stable built by convicts in the 1840’s enjoy some of the most distinctly flavoured Tasmanian wines in the state. Hand crafted on site by 5th generation descendants, the family passion of the Lyne Family is certainly evident as a hands on team member that has worked hard on the wines leads you through an excellent tasting.
You will try Traditional Method Sparkling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, 2 Chardonnays, 2 Pinot Noirs and a luscious Sticky to finish!! Yum.
It will be hard to leave without taking some pics, having a quick look at the vineyard and at least 1 bottle of wine to enjoy.
Third Flight of Tastings
2:00pm Arrive at Milton Vineyard
A lovely farmhouse style cellar door perched on a hill is where the Dunbabin Family have set their great business over looking the vineyard and dam. Grown on a rocky hill basking in the sunshine is an ever expanding vineyard with an array of the grapes that Tasmania is becoming renowned for.
You will try Traditional Method Sparkling, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, dry Rose, s, Pinot Noir and one of their Iced Wines top top it off.
Chef Sophie from “Onces Tapas” prepares a lovely Tasmanian cheese board for us to enjoy with some yummy Iced Riesling to wash it down..
Fourth Flight of Tastings
3:00pm Arrive at Gala Estate
Set in the Old Cranbrook Store is Gala Estate’s Cellar door which is like stepping back in time. The face of Gala is Ted Castle who lived there with his 10 brothers and sisters until his late 70’s. Now its a rustic, photographers paradise garnished with wine.
The Greenhill family who established Gala Estate are now into their 7th generation with an eager 8th generation at school. A true Tassie family business. Here we indulge in a tasting of their wines any try some fabulous Tasmanian Cheese, olive oils, locally baked bread, walnuts and seasonal fruits.
They have Traditional Method Sparkling, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, dry Rose, 2 Pinot Noir’s and a Late Harvest Riesling. Being Superfine Merino farmers there is a section of Tasmanian made exquisite wool product for sale also.
You are returned to your accommodation around 5pm.
