Wine-dy Roads of Freycinet Coast
“4 cellar doors & many food delights”
$175 per person
Basking in the sunshine at 42 degrees south is one of the leading Wine Regions of the world for cool climate wine. Freycinet Coast, (also known as the East Coast Wine Region) boasts more sunny days than any other part of Tasmania. This leads to wines with great natural acidity, flavour concentration, longevity, bouquet and of course taste. You will have the opportunity to taste some great Wines and add to your home celler. Impress your friends with your “East Coast wine collection” and new found wine knowledge.
We visit up to 4 Vineyard Cellar Doors. With more jaw-dropping views and wines than bends in the road, immerse yourself in our rich history and culture. Most of the Vineyards are still owned by the original settlers that forged their way into Tasmanian history in the 1800’s. Visit Convict built cellar doors, see how the pioneers lived and learn how their descendants are making their own piece of history.
Indulge in the mouth-watering Tasmanian delicacies that have made our amazing state a wine and food lovers paradise. You will enjoy a decadent lunch including seafood and other Tasmanian fares at either at the amazingly picturesque Devils Corner or Mel’s Kitchen at Springvale Winery topped off with a Tasmanian cheese plate at Craigie knowe or Freycinet vineyard and finish the day with a famous handmade “Berry choc-top” and meet the entertaining Lester from the pondering frog. The tour includes all food and tastings throughout the day.
An exceptional day out in the Freycinet region in an air-conditioned, comfortable mini bus departing between 10. 30 and 11 a.m. returning to your accommodation by 5 to 5:30.
Dress warm and only eat a light breakfast, we eat a lot at the first cellar door. Bring an open mind and be ready to have fun!!
Please have your phone on so we can message you on the morning of the tour in case pick up times change.
Your Guide – Roshan
I am Roshan, your guide. Being a 4th generation “East coaster”, I have a genuine love for the east coast and what it produces.
My passion for the wine industry began almost 20 years ago where I was lucky enough to work with “award-winning winemaker” Claudio Radenti and Lindy Bull and their team at Freycinet Vineyard for nearly 10 years learning all aspects of producing premium wine.
I’m passionate to take people on a wine tour that takes you behind the scenes, so I can share my knowledge and help you understand more about the wine making and viticulture process. It’s where science and art come together.
I’m proud to be representing our local wine producers and feel very privileged to be operating these tours.
I look forward to hosting you and your friends one day soon.
Your guide….. Roshan.
