Travel in style by Limousine from your CBD accommodation to a nearby location, where a Helicopter waits to whisk you off on an amazing journey of breath taking scenery, wonderful wines and fabulous Tasmanian delicacies.

From Hobart you will fly up over Freycinet Coast where the Great Eastern Drive winds its way to the jewel in Tasmania’s crown, Freycinet. Flying over the coast and up to Wineglass Bay and Freycinet, this will be a trip to remember forever as you see some of the best countryside Australia has to offer, but from above though, flying like a Eagle.

Once you’ve been awe inspired by the East Coast, you will certainly have built up a hunger for some fresh Crayfish, Oysters, Mussels, Fish and wood fired pizza. We land at the newly opened Devils Corner Vineyard where we enjoy their tasty wines in a sit down Degustation Format. As you taste the wines, various delights will accompany the wine tasting in a food and wine matching experience that will have your friends drooling as you recall course after course of famous Tasmanian produce. This is garnished with arguably one of the best vineyard views in the Southern Hemisphere over looking the vineyard with Moulting Lagoon and the Hazards mountain range as your back drop.

Once you’ve satisfied your hunger we head off in air conditioned comfort on the Long Lunch Bus to Spring Vale vineyard. Here you will enjoy extremely concentrated, flavoursome wines in one of the most unique cellar doors, a convict built stable constructed in 1842. Once we hit the Pinot’s, the winemaker will take us out to the barrel room and you sample an array of Pinot clones, blocks and barrel types sourced from various forests and coopers in France.

Then we take a 2 minute drive to Milton Vineyard to enjoy more wines and finish you off with some lovely cheese and dessert. Milton have been winning various accolades for years and have a fabulous vineyard, farm house styled cellar door and some succulent table and dessert wines you will certainly love.

Then all you have to do is sit back and wait for the Helicopter to take you back down to your waiting Limousine as the warm light of the afternoon illuminates the East Coast scenery.

The Ultimate Long Lunch Tour was unbelievably good!!

From the outset dealing with Brad whilst organising the tour for a group of 6 was simple and an absolute pleasure with clear and timely communication. 
The tour…WOW!!!

We have travelled the east coast of Tasmania before however nothing could have prepared us for the experience of seeing the majestic coast line, clear blue waters and amazing landscapes from a very comfortable chopper piloted by a knowledgeable pilot. 

First stop, a landing on a headland at Kelvedon where a delectable devonshire tea was served on a table dressed in immaculate white linen followed by another short (mind blowing) flight over Oyster Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula to land at Spring Vale Vineyard where we were treated to the most informative, down to earth no BS explanation of the process and philosophies of the business and a tasting of their extremely palatable wines accompanied with matching canapés. 

A short bus ride to a lunch of premium seafood at Milton Vineyard washed down with their superb Riesling and a chat with the very hospitable owners before the return overland flight to Hobart.

I have no doubt that the fantastic day our group experienced would not have been possible without the association Brad has with other quality businesses on the east coast of Tassie and their trust in Brad was apparent throughout the tour. The use of only local quality produce completed our Tassie Food and Wine experience.

Itinerary



Depart at 9:30 by Limousine and Take off at 10am by helicopter


Fly up the amazing East Coast

11:00am Land at Devils Corner
Depart Devils corner and Arrive at Spring Vale around 1:15pm to Enjoy a Barrel Tasting with the Winemaker

2pm Depart Spring Vale and arrive at Milton Vineyard minutes later to enjoy cheese and chocolates coupled with Milton’s fabulous wines

Depart Milton by Helicopter for the return flight to Hobart.
Arrive at Cambridge to waiting Limousine to be returned to your hotel by 4:30pm

What a day!!
