6:15pm Arrive at the Buckland Church | ||
| An amazing little secret spot is the church constructed in 1849 housing the oldest stained glass window in Australia !! Once a feature in Battle Abbey in Hastings England, the window was taken down just before the Abbey was demolished by Cromwell and buried for nearly 200 years packed in straw. When the Buckland church was being built,the window was sent to Van Diemens Land and now is restored to it's former glory. | |||
